             Follows.

          July 11th:  The Moon Cats

The Mooncats, a well-known group in the Nebraska Panhandle and Northeastern Colorado, originated in 2000. Their music is based and seasoned by years of playing for scores of people         in many settings and venues.  Deeply rooted rhythm and blues backgrounds have inspired original      music and arrangements that touch all their audiences.  Ranging from hearty blues shuffles and       jump swing to sensual blues ballads to raucous blues rock or Latin and Cajun rhythms, the        Mooncats are more than a contemporary cover group.  The band consists of these talented musicians: Michael "T" Sullivan, keyboardist; harp player Dan Stark; Jamie "Ray" McColloch, lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist; George Dockter, bass player, drummer Nate Beutler; Donn Folkerts (Salamander Slim), percussionist; and, featured lead guitarist Jimi (Dick) Haddix.
>
>       The Mooncats performed as the opening band at the South Loup River Blues Festival in            2003 and we many people have asked if we could have them back.  Here's your chance to see them       again, or if you missed them a few years ago, get your day at the festival off to a good start         by being to the park for The Mooncats at 12:30 on Saturday, July 12th!

        July 18th:  Delta Sonics              http://www.deltasonics.net/

The Delta Sonics (formerly known as The Homewreckers) have been playing in Colorado since 1992, and have established themselves as one of the finest blues acts in the area with their solid musicianship and exciting live performances. Their musical stylings include Chicago Blues, West Coast Swing, New Orleans R&B, and some early Rock n' Roll.

The band has been featured at the 1997, 1998, and 2001 Denver Blues & Bones Festival, the Boulder/Lyons Blues Festival five times, the Yellowstone Jazz Festival, and the Westword Music Showcase in 1996 and 1997. They have opened for many nationally known blues artists, including Koko Taylor, Junior Wells, Taj Mahal, Clarence "Gatemouth" Brown, The Radiators, and the Fabulous Thunderbirds. In 1999 and 2004, the band brought blues piano legend Pinetop Perkins to Colorado for successful tours. Most recently The Delta Sonics have opened shows for Charlie Musselwhite and Tommy Castro, and have also backed Big Bill Morganfield, Bo Diddley, and Pinetop Perkins on their recent performances in Colorado.

Whiskey Trip brings back the danceable, hard-edged honky tonk country music of the 1960's and 70's, when such artists as Waylon Jennings, Merle Haggard, Loretta Lynn, Buck Owens and others made country cool.

Featuring some of Colorado's most accomplished musicans, Whiskey Trip plays festivals, concerts, dances, private events and clubs throughout the state.
